Paddy Auctions: EC asks CEO to place paddy auctions in T’gana on book newsfragment

HYDERABAD: The Election Fee of Republic of India has steered the electoral officer of Telangana to direct the circumstance to place the paddy public sale on book, responding to a grievance from Congress chief G Niranjan.
ECI in its letter to CEO stated that “sale of Rabi 2022-23 paddy should be put on hold until the ECI takes a decision.”
“The state issued six tenders for sale of Rabi paddy after the ECI declared the election code on October 9. The e-auction is scheduled for October 27, with a value of ₹5,000 crores. The current government intended to generate funds and divert them for their electoral advantage,” G Niranjan stated in his grievance. tnn
