The Pune Municipal Company (PMC) performed an anti-encroachment power between Sadalbaba Highway and Kharadi Diversion on Ahmednagar Highway on Monday.
Supplementary municipal commissioner Vikas Dhakane and anti-encrochment segment head Madhav Jagtap led the power.
Dhakane stated, “PMC plans to make important roads encroachment-free. Ahmednagar Road is a busy stretch as it also connects to Pune airport.”
Jagtap stated, “On Monday, PMC removed six stalls, five carts, 15 stalls on footpath and roadside, 50 slums and sheds and 125 board and banners. We cleared 30,000 square feet land from illegal structures.”
The civic government had deployed sufficient manpower to sunny the street. Two regional ward officer encroachment inspectors, 5 supervisors, 24 supplementary encroachment inspectors and 100 staff participated within the power and 6 large machines, six fuel cutters and 12 vans had been impaired. No less than 52 law enforcement officials had been deployed for the marketing campaign.
